Step 1: get the exact license details
Ask for the exact company or individual name, license or registration number, and the type of work the credential covers. Do not rely on a nickname, truck logo, or directory listing alone.
Step 2: use SC LLR Licensee Lookup
Open South Carolina LLR Licensee Lookup and search the name or number. Confirm status, board, license type, expiration where shown, and whether the credential appears to match the work being proposed.
Step 3: match the credential to the job
Residential builder, residential electrical, residential plumbing, residential HVAC, specialty contractor, and home inspection credentials can be different. If the job also needs a permit, confirm the permit path with the local jurisdiction.
Directory status is not a license check
Listed, claimed, and verified directory statuses describe business-information review. They do not mean Columbia Home Service Pros has licensed, bonded, insured, endorsed, or background-checked the company.
